Our History

                                    An American Success Story

At the end of World War II, George E. Sprenkle set out to build a business that delivered quality fabricated sheet metal parts to the blossoming mid-Atlantic industrial base and in 1946, York Sheet Metal was born.

Today, we're very proud to be celebrating 70 years of providing our customers with quality carbon and stainless steel fabrications while giving our employees dependable work they can count on to provide for their families.

Since its founding, the philosophy at the core of York Sheet Metal has been to never sell our customers a part we wouldn't buy ourselves -- and that attitude has continued to guide us through the decades. As our business has grown, we have worked hard to deepen our capabilities and broaden the industries we serve, but we've always stayed true to this founding vision as we understand that quality fabrications and outstanding customer service are the cornerstones of our continued success.

The world has changed tremendously since our beginnings, and now we compete in a dynamic global marketplace. Many of our customers have grown into industrial powerhouses with evolved supply networks and our reach has expanded across the United States. Whether it's our ability to turn around prototypes and rush orders quickly, our ongoing investment in state-of-the-art fabrication equipment and management systems or our commitment to deliver globally competitive value in order to satisfy our demanding customer base, APX York Sheet Metal continues to strive to improve every day.

At APX York Sheet Metal, we're proud of where we've been and excited about where we are going. We've been in business 70 years because we take care of our customers and deliver on our commitments -- let us start delivering for you.
